Flawless + Rockwell (Chrome Series) Unboxing

Last night I set my alarm for 6:45am, so I could start my skin-care routine early. Next thing you know, daylight savings time kicks in and I find myself hitting the snooze button for an hour. Needless to say, I woke up feeling rushed. As much as I wanted my skin-care and make-up done, etc. I had little ones to attend to and somewhere I needed to be, so it just didn’t happen. Now while this may seem kind of absolutely fucking ridiculous, this was the first time I truly felt content leaving the house without my make-up on — the first time I hit the snooze button on unrealistic beauty standards.

To be honest, I was hesitant to post this. And to be brutally honest, I love my 10+ product skin-care routine and often feel more confident when I wear make-up. In fact, I’m learning to accept that as being okay too. However, I like to think sleep is more beautiful than a face full of make-up, and I’m working on trying to feel more comfortable without it or at least less of it and the pressure of putting it on.

Sooo, to celebrate this new found self-love, I decided to treat myself to some new skin-care products for when I do have time to do all the skin-care things. I also bought some proper scissors to cut my hair (and save time) (and money) for getting ready in the morning. Some may find that contradictory to my previous paragraph, but for me, it’s about finding balance.

So without further ado, let’s cut into the products, starting with the scissors . . .

Hair Scissors

by Rockwell Razors

The first time I ever attempted to cut my own hair, I used my mom’s kitchen scissors and ended up shaving the rest of it off (a story for another time). This time was, thankfully, a much different story. With proper hair scissors by Rockwell Razors (pictured above) and the butterfly method (pictured below), cutting my hair was a success!

Chrome Series Razor

by Rockwell Razors

While I still use the Chic Intuition razor, I recently had to use my actual intuition to buy a more practical razor. I picked up a lovely rose gold one by Rockwell’s Chrome Series, and honestly couldn’t be more pleased! The shave is ridiculously smooth and the razor is beautifully sharp (but not too sharp). You can also recycle the razors via their “razor bank”, which makes for a more environmentally friendly option.

Dry Razor(s)

by Flawless Finishing Touch

On days where extra sleep is priority and I don’t have time to hop in the shower first thing, I like to have the option to at least touch up with a quick, dry shave. Since the epilator I bought 10 years ago quite literally isn’t cutting it anymore, I bought a new dry shave set by Flawless, complete with mini facial hair removers, a body razor for hard(er) to reach places, and a larger razor to cover more surface area. So far, everything functions well and I love that the rose gold matches my wet razor by Rockwell.

Facial Cleanser Wand

by Flawless Finishing Touch

I love a good exfoliation when cleansing my face, but don’t always enjoy the abrasive strength. In search for a gentle, good quality face wand that doesn’t break the bank (or my face), I was happy to have found one by the Flawless rose gold collection. This wand provides a gentle, yet thorough clean, complete with multiple massage settings.

Ice Roller

by Flawless Finishing Touch

I don’t know about anyone else, but no amount of sleep can make me feel more refreshed than splashing cold water on my face first thing in the morning. My mom use to do this religiously for as long as I can remember, and if you knew her, you would know she was basically the queen of skin-care regimens. Truly, the only thing better than this, is the use of an ice roller, especially for under the eye de-puffing. When I saw that Flawless carried them, of course I picked one up. I have minus zero regrets.

Manicure Set

by Flawless Finishing Touch

In case you couldn’t tell by cutting my own hair that I don’t have time to hit the salon regularly, well, the same applies for getting my nails done. Currently, I wear press-ons by Kiss that I alter every few weeks, and for a quick diy manicure, I couldn’t recommend them more! However, in order for the press-ons to stay on, proper nail prep is mandatory, so I obviously had to get my hands on this set by (you guessed it) Flawless. Not only does it come with multiple filing textures, it makes the prep process much quicker!

Well, that’s it for today’s unboxing. And yes, I’m fully prepared to be judged for the amount of items I purchased…

It is often said that less is more, but sometimes I like to think that more is less… Less giving a fuck about what people think. More about taking time for my self, my worth, and what brings me joy.

Shoutout to Rockwell Razors for trusting me to cut my own hair back in the Fall, and to Corksickle (featured on IG) for giving me something to contain all the caffeinated confidence I needed to follow through with it.

Note, this post is not sponsored and I am not in any way affiliated with the brands mentioned. All opinions are genuinely my own and all products featured, can be found at Welk’s on Main (Vancouver) and/or almost any local Shoppers (or online).

Also, please excuse what I call my “overtired” image quality, but hopefully you get the picture(s).

Happy Daylight Savings!
