Locarno Beach (Re)view — Why we Love it Here (and Keep Coming Back)
I don’t know about anyone else, but Summer in Vancouver feels a little extra cluttered this year. Perhaps it’s the seemingly unpredictable weather. Or maybe it’s because I’m a mom of multiple children trying to fit in all the beach days. Regardless, what I do know for certain is that I could never forget that I live here and am often reminded by nearly forgetting what season we’re supposed to be in some days… Blaring sunshine one minute, pouring rain the next, humid a l w a y s . Clearly the weather plays a part. Anyway, much like the forecast (and the many local beach crowds), my family and I have kind of been all over the place lately as well. However, there’s one place in particular we keep coming back to and I truly couldn’t recommend it more . . .

Gabriola Island Adventures
For as long as I can remember, the beach has been my paradise — a place to rise with the sun and tide, unwind with the wind, and ride the waves of the ocean and existence. One of my earliest memories was listening to the sound of my mother’s voice crash against the water’s rush. I can still hear that beautiful sound in my head, without even so much as lifting a seashell to my ear . . .
