Ceramic Lab Unboxing, Featuring Hot Lavazza
For those who read my last post (or looked / got outside in Vancouver), you’ll know cherry blossom season is in full swing! However, today, I’ve decided to throw it back to the cozier rainy days and copious pours of hot Lavazza via a Ceramic Lab unboxing.
Allow me to elaborate... Ceramic Lab is a beautifully curated collection of modernized Japanese tableware made from sandstone. These pieces are created in Hasami by the company, KINTO Japan, and give a warm and inviting aesthetic to any living / dining space. As stated on their website, “The iron in the sandstone reacts with the glaze to create deep nuanced expressions.”
Today, I’ll be unboxing a KINTO coffee mug from this collection that was gifted to me by my husband during the Winter months. I’m only just getting around to posting about it now, because I’ve obviously been too busy sipping on coffee. Speaking of which, I need a refill.
That’s better. Okay, let’s get into it.
First off, I want to admire the packaging. Simple, recyclable, and just enough room to fit the mug. And can we talk about the logo design? SO pretty! I love the delicate script and subtle boldness. Very harmonious to their collection. I also adore the print included on the bottom of the mug (photographed below).
Now for the actual product. As you can see, my husband chose the small (300 ml) blush pink and sand mug for me, and I couldn’t be more pleased with it! Seriously, it’s the perfect size for an attempt to actually finish a coffee before it gets cold, which is something I had been searching for (for quite some time).
As seen (below), the first coffee I made in this mug was a hot Lavazza via Nespresso. And let me tell you, I didn’t even need to add anything to it, because the ceramics of this mug make literally e v e r y t h i n g taste better. It’s the definition of a hug in a mug. Not to mention the texture is as smooth as I like my coffee, while providing a hearty, earthiness underneath. Oh, and to top it off, it matches the vast majority of my wardrobe (in case you didn’t notice).
Well, it’s about time to make another coffee and officially put away my Winter clothes. I hope you all enjoyed this post as much as I enjoy this mug! To view a rare sighting of me sipping my coffee while it’s still hot, be sure to check the latest on my IG @haveyour.c.a.k.e
