June – July Highlights, Featuring Fresh Cake and Fresh Water Pearls
I know it’s technically “ruby season”, but can we take a minute to appreciate these pink and mauve freshwater pearls? This set (shown above) was thoughtfully gifted to me for my birthday, and meticulously crafted by Leah Alexandra Jewelry. If this name sounds familiar, you’re likely thinking of the original “Spark Studio”, owned by local Vancouver designer, Leah Alexandra, who is well known for her more permanent jewelry pieces, many of which have been featured in magazines such as Elle, Vogue, and InStyle. Need I say more? I mean, we all know I’m going to say more anyway, so let’s get into all the pretty little details of this set . . .
Is Starbucks Cold Foam Really Worth it?
Okay, so I like to think of myself as a granola mom, but I’m kind of 80/20. I’m all for organic, natural, non-GMO e v e r y t h i n g , but every once in a while I like to sprinkle in a little f*ck it, I need Starbucks. If this sounds familiar, you’ve likely seen my recent reel on Instagram, telling everyone to go get free cold foam from Starbucks during one of their recent promos . The only problem? I embarrassingly auto-posted it to the wrong date and completely forgot about it. At least I didn’t forget to go to Starbucks all together, because that would obviously be deplorable . . .
Late Night Thoughts and Love at First Sip, Featuring Justly Made Tea
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ve never understood people who leave their Christmas trees up until February. The irony of me writing this as I sit here in my Christmas sweater, sipping my justly made tea. At least it’s not out of a Christmas mug though, because, I mean that would just be appalling. Anyway, I can’t say this is the first time I’ve contradicted myself during the holiday season… Valentine’s Day counts as a holiday, right? Look, as long as it’s still Winter time, I’m going to find comfort in whatever I can, as I patiently wait for the warmer seasons to approach. Now if that means Delores down the street is going to keep what’s left of her Christmas tree up until Spring, so be it. For me, that’s too far, so I’ll just continue sitting here in my Christmas sweater, minding my own business (obviously), and sipping my warm tea. But not JUST any tea — JusTea to be exact, and in the form of an Earl Grey latte or London Fog (as we Canadians like to call it) . . .
Pepsi vs. Poppi (and Why to Make the Switch)
In case you missed it, I’m currently in my Popp(s)iCola era. The best part? Zero guilt. Seriously, forget “Pepsi zero”, “Coke zero”; I give zero cares. Poppi is where it’s at . . .
Ceramic Lab Unboxing, Featuring Hot Lavazza
For those who read my last post (or looked / got outside in Vancouver), you’ll know cherry blossom season is in full swing! However, today, I’ve decided to throw it back to the cozier rainy days and copious pours of hot Lavazza via a Ceramic Lab unboxing . . .
Blueberry Vanilla Collagen Shake, Featuring Supplements from Care/Of
In my taking care of ME era, because as Kate Hudson once said, “The irony is that when we take care of ourselves first, we are in a much stronger place to take care of those we love.” . . .
Birthday Week Desserts, Featuring Sweets From Starbucks and Whole Foods
This year, I decided it wasn’t my birthday until I got my free drink from my favourite Starbs and customized it like the annoying little Starbucks loving b*tch I am. And to celebrate one week into 31, I’m going to share what I ordered (with an extra side of dessert) . . .
Best of 2022 (David’s) Tea Collection
The 12 days of Christmas are long gone, so I decided to do 12 days of New Years (tea edition) instead… Over the last 12 days, I featured one tea a day from the best of 2022 collection by David’s Tea on my Instagram and now I’m going to rate them on here from my most favourite to my least favourite. And just so we’re clear, there wasn’t a single tea from this collection I didn’t like, I just liked some more than others. Below, I’m going mention each tea with a description, starting with my most favourite . . .
Vancouver Christmas Market Review
Christmas — the most wonderful time of the year (besides Summertime) obviously. At least my ice-cream wasn’t too quick to melt though . . .
Layered (Birthday) Cake Frappuccino (from Starbucks)
30+ days of being 30 and figured I would celebrate by going to Starbucks AGAIN. I also figured I should share this “secret” (birthday) drink I created and love, because it’s just that good and I’m just THAT kind of person . . .
